Confiscated 64 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine Worth IDR 96 Billion In Lampung, Police Secure 6 Men

Lampung Police arrested six men who were found to have 64 kilograms or kg of methamphetamine.

"We will still develop these six people to find out where the goods came from and where they were taken," said Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Thursday, April 13, as reported by Antara.

He continued, the case of 64 kg of crystal methamphetamine began with the disclosure of 7 kg of crystal methamphetamine in the Seaport Interdiction Area of Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, on Sunday, March 26.

"The disclosure of 7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine involved the suspect MH. At that time, the team arrested the suspect on the ALS passenger bus. The confession of the suspect was brought from Medan to East Java," he said.

Then on Wednesday, March 29, members arrested suspect FR in the parking lot of Jalan Ahmad Yani Bandarlampung with 21 kg of crystal methamphetamine as evidence.

"The 21 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were stored by the suspect in two suitcases which were planned to be sent to Java Island via Bakauheni Port," he said.

From the arrest of the suspects MH and FR, members then returned to arrest the CP suspect at Bakauheni Port on Tuesday, April 4.

The evidence brought by the suspect CP was 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine which was stored in two portable air conditioning with 15 packs of methamphetamine each. The items were packaged in Palembang and sent to Jakarta.

"Finally, the disclosure of 6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine on Sunday, April 9, 2023 with suspects AP, SB, and RY at Bakauheni Port. The total number of these four cases is six suspects with 64 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine evidence," he said.

"From the total amount of evidence, if it is judged economically, it is Rp. 96 billion and is able to save as many as 256 lives," he said.
