JAKARTA - PPP is pessimistic that the idea of a major coalition of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) and the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR) will be realized.

According to him, KIB does not necessarily agree to join the KIR coalition formed by Gerindra and PKB. In addition, he continued, during the gathering at PAN headquarters actually invited PDI Perjuangan (PDIP), but the general chairman could not attend. Awi believes that President Jokowi, who knows the idea of a major coalition, will certainly not leave the PDIP. Then second, regarding the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidates. The reason is, each party nominates one name to be champions in the 2024 presidential election. On the other hand, the names of the proposed presidential candidates have not yet been agreed within their respective coalitions.

It is known, for KIB itself, the names that appeared were the general chairman of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto, while PAN recommended Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo or SOE Minister Erick Thohir. Meanwhile, in the KIR coalition, both brought together the general chairman. Namely, Gerindra presidentialized Prabowo Subianto, and PKB carries Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.
