Three foreign nationals from Uzbekistan attacked five officers from the North Jakarta Immigration Center Class I Immigration Office (TPI) with a kitchen knife while trying to escape from the detention room.

Spokesperson for the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police Kombes Pol Aswin Siregar at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, confirmed the incident.

"Three of them fled, and the other was still or didn't want to run (the initials of BKA)," said Aswin.

The three foreigners came out of the detention room by breaking into the roof of the ceiling of the immigration office, then attacking officers who were eating suhoor, some of the officers were even preparing for the Fajr prayer.

"The perpetrator paralyzed or attacked members using a kitchen knife obtained in the panel," said Aswin.

In less than 24 hours, the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 officers managed to arrest the perpetrators of the attack who fled at 10.50 WIB. The suspect OMM was first arrested at a shop near the Bukit Gading Indah complex.

At 20.30 WIB, the suspect MIR was arrested in a culvert, Sunter River area, while the suspect defecation was found at 14:40 WIB in a state of death in Sunter River.

"He died because he jumped into the river, then drowned. His body has been taken to the Kramat Jati Hospital for an autopsy," said Aswin.
