No Leave, ASN In Cianjur Asked To Be On Standby 24 Hours During Eid Holiday

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, asked the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in a number of Regional Apparatus Organizations to remain on standby 24 hours during the long holiday of Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H as maximum effort in providing services to residents. Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Cianjur Regency, Cecep Alamsyah said that even though they can take a vacation according to the date set by the central government, services must still be provided during the holiday. "The central government has set a schedule for Eid al-Fitr holiday leave 2023, starting from 19, 20, 21, 24, and 25 April. So that the picket schedule arrangements in each particular service will be applied," he explained. Cecep explained, in principle, it is a holiday, however there are ASN in certain agencies that must be on standby 24 hours such as the Transportation Service (Dishub), Satpol PP Damkar, BPBD, Hospitals and others. Including for the liaison service placed in a number of areas affected by the earthquake, said Cecep, must continue to provide services for earthquake-affected residents because there are still many who live in communal tents and emergency residences until Eid. "Don't celebrate Eid al-Fitr because there are still many of our brothers who carry out fasting until Eid al-Fitr in emergency residential tents. It is better to hold Eid activities later at the disaster location, in order to ease the burden on our brothers," he said.

Cecep also advised ASN who have received a joint holiday when returning to work not to add holidays under any pretext. "Please take a vacation or go home, but don't be late to return to Cianjur on the first working day after Eid," he said. Meanwhile, regarding the long holiday, he added, it will be enforced in accordance with the central government's decision from 19-25 April, his party will conduct inspections of each office within the Cianjur Regency Government, on the first day of work after Eid and firm witnesses will be imposed on those who violate it.
