BANDUNG - Facing Lebaran 2023, the people of Bandung are expected not to shop excessively or panic buying in order to maintain the stability of food stocks in the coming weeks. This was said by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 5. He asked the public not to be panic buying at the time of shopping ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah or Lebaran 2023.Yana ensures that the availability of basic necessities in Bandung City ahead of Eid Al-Fitr is sufficient and in safe conditions so that people do not need to panic buying. "People don't need to panic buying, safe supply," said Yana in Bandung. Even so, he admits that usually a number of commodities experience price increases ahead of religious holidays including Eid al-Fitr. For that, he ensures that the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) strives so that prices and the availability of basic needs of the community can be controlled. Among them, said Yana, the Bandung City Government has held several times holding cheap markets that sell basic necessities at affordable prices for the community. "This can ease the burden on the community to gain basic needs. Including suppress inflation. Therefore, we make cheap markets in every sub-district," he said. Bandung City Government held a cheap market at the Burangrang Village Office, Bandung City, West Java. In the cheap market, there are several commodities sold, namely cooking oil and medium rice.

Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry (Disdagin) Office, Elly Wasliah, said that at the cheap market, Minya Kita was sold at a price of Rp. 14,000 per 1 liter, while medium rice was below Rp. 8,800 per kilogram. "Many being hunted are oil, rice, eggs as well as cake products. It's much cheaper," said Elly.
