JAKARTA - The BMKG estimates that rain with light to heavy intensity will likely fall in Yogyakarta, Bandung, Medan, Mataram, and a number of major cities in Indonesia today, Sunday 2 April.

Based on information from the BMKG weather forecast obtained from Antara, rain is predicted to fall at noon in the cities of Semarang, Palangka Raya, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Yogyakarta, Kupang, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, Mamuju and Padang.

Rain with moderate intensity is likely to fall in the cities of Bandung and Kendari during the day, while the cities of Denpasar, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, and Mataram are predicted to experience rain accompanied by lightning.

The cities of Serang, Gorontalo, Bandar Lampung, Ambon, Ternate, Jayapura, Makassar, Manado, Palembang, and Central Jakarta are predicted to be cloudy during the day.

The weather for the cities of Bengkulu, Jambi, Pontianak, Samarinda, Tarakan, and Medan is forecast to be cloudy during the day. Meanwhile, Banda Aceh City is predicted to be sunny during the day.

In the evening, light rain is forecasted for the cities of Bandung, Palangka Raya, Jayapura, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang, and Medan.

Meanwhile, Tarakan City is predicted to experience heavy rains and Jambi City has the opportunity to experience rain accompanied by lightning at night.

The cities of Denpasar, Serang, Bengkulu, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Tanjung Pinang, Ternate, Kupang, Mamuju, Makassar, Kendari, and Manado are predicted to be cloudy at night.

The weather for Central Jakarta, Gorontalo, Pontianak, Pangkal Pinang, and Bandar Lampung is forecast to be cloudy and sunny for Banda Aceh City at night.
