Responding To Cak Imin About Coalition Dissolving If Prabowo Duet With Ganjar, Habiburokhman: Gerindra-PKB Is The Most Solid Coalition

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party Habiburokhman, responding to the statement by the General Chairperson of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin who said that the PKB and Gerindra coalition would disband if the discourse on the duet of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto-Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is realized in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Habiburokhman confirmed that until now the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) formed by PKB and Gerindra is still very solid.

"God willing, this coalition is the most solid," said Habiburokhman in Jakarta, Friday, March 17.

Regarding the presidential and vice presidential pairs, Habiburokhman emphasized that this was the authority of Prabowo and Cak Imin as general chairmen. Including the question about the Prabowo-Ganjar duet.

"In terms of the determination, of course, it is the domain of Pak Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin Iskandar. It is he who will decide and will make an announcement," said Habiburokhman.

The cadres, he added, only had to follow and carry out the directions from the general chairmen. Therefore, everyone will wait for a decision from Prabowo and Cak Imin.

"If we are just going to follow it. Samina wa athona, various inputs of information, of course, he both understand and elaborate, we'll just wait," said Habiburokhman.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin confirmed that his party's cooperation with the Gerindra Party would be dissolved if Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was not partnered with him.

This was conveyed by Cak Imin in response to the planned duet of Prabowo and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"Yes, that means the coalition has disbanded," said Cak Imin to reporters at the PKB DPP office, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 16.

Cak Imin was also reluctant to respond to the question about the photo between President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Prabowo, and Ganjar in the rice fields which led to the possibility of a duet plan. According to Cak Imin, there was nothing to do with the upload.

"I don't know that. It's not PKB's business," he said.

PKB confirmed that its coalition with Gerindra, named the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR), is solid. Communication is maintained and there has never been any communication about alternative partners.

"Until today it has been solid (KKIR, ed). None, in fact, the proposal for a new alternative partner has not appeared in our meeting with Gerindra," he said.
