Johnny G Plate Brings A Folder During Examination At Attorney General's Office, It Contains Budget User Documents

JAKARTA - The Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate brought a folder when he was going to undergo an examination as a witness in the Bakti Kominfo corruption case today. It turned out that the folder contained documents on budget users.

"Documents needed in the investigation process. In his capacity he is a budget user," said the Head of Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) Ketut Sumedana when confirmed, Wednesday, February 15.

During the examination process, the documents brought by the NasDem politicians will be matched by investigators. This is because the team from the Deputy Attorney General's Investigation Directorate for Special Crimes already has data on the results of the interim investigation.

"Regarding his examination, the documents are already in the investigation team, they are just checking," he said.

On the previous occasion, Ketut also said that in this examination, investigators would explore a number of things, one of which was the acceptance of the flow by Gregorius Alex Plate (GAP), who is the younger brother of Johnny G Plate.

"That's exactly what we are investigating, he is not in a legal relationship with the Ministry of Communication and Information, why did there flow to get there, get facilities like that, today we are exploring it," he said.

Later, it will be ascertained whether the acceptance of the flow of funds by Gregorius Alex Plate was indeed Johnny G Plate's will or not.

What is clear, continued Ketut, is that all allegations will be investigated by a team at the Directorate of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes.

"Is there an order from maybe from his older brother or what kind of progress we'll see later," said Ketut.

Meanwhile, the AGO previously revealed that the younger brother of the Minister of Communication and Information, Gregorius Alex Plate (GAP) returned the facility received in the form of Rp. 534 million.

The money is a facility received by GAP related to the procurement of 4G BTS towers and supporting infrastructure 2,3,4 and 5 BAKTI Kominfo.

"What is clear is that up to now the facilities that he (Gregorius Alex Plate) received have been returned Rp. 534 million," said the Director of Jampidsus at the Attorney General's Office, Kuntadi.

Kuntadi said GAP voluntarily handed over the money to investigators. According to Kuntadi, regarding the facilities received by Gregorius Alex Plate will be one of the examinations that will be asked about during Plate's examination.
