Russian Foreigners In Bali Create A Petition Complaining Noisy Rooster, Dispar Will Held Mediation

DENPASAR - The sound of a rooster crowing which was considered noisy made dozens of tourists, dominated by Russian foreigners, submit a petition to the sub-district office in South Kuta, Badung Bali.

This complaint was responded by the Head of the Bali Province Tourism Office (Dispar) Tjok Bagus Pemayun. His party has deployed a team to check the field to find out the problems of tourists staying at homestays.

Roosters that are considered to make noise apparently belong to residents. This rooster is only a pet, not used as a livestock commodity.

"The team from the sub-district has moved directly to the field to check the crowing rooster which is indeed a pet and is not a business, so it remains to be communicated and I also have not received a report from (Head of the Badung Tourism Office) regarding this matter," said Pemayun, Friday, March 3.

As previously reported, dozens of tourists sent petitions to the South Kuta sub-district office, Badung Regency, Bali, complaining about the sound of a rooster crowing every day which is heard at the accommodation at the Anumaya Bay View homestay, Jimbaran, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

The Head of the Section for the Peace and Order Unit (Trantib) of South Kuta District, I Kadek Agus Alit Juwita said, this petition originated with a Russian foreigner who objected to a rooster crowing in a homestay at the Anumaya homestay and it was considered noisy. The petition was filed on Thursday (2/3).

"Most of the complainants are Russian foreigners. If you say it's a petition, you don't know if it's a petition or not, what's clear is that the letter is signed and the contents are written on the back. Complaints about the sound of a rooster crowing every morning and evening," said Alit Juwita, Friday, March 3.

The sound of the rooster crowing was complained by representatives of Russian foreigners who came to the South Kuta sub-district office with a local resident, a confidant at Anumaya Homestay.

These foreigners provide a letter or petition signed by dozens of foreigners living in the homestay complaining of the sound of a rooster crowing.

"He went to the South Kuta sub-district office. What is clear according to (the foreign representative) all of the signatures were complaints. There were about a dozen who signed all of them," said Alit.

His party will mediate between the residents of the homestay and the neighbors in front of the homestay who have chickens, on Tuesday (7/3) so that it can be resolved amicably.

However, according to him, the chicken did not belong to the homestay but to the people who had lived there.

"We tried to mediate between them, the owner of the chicken and the owner of the homestay so that he would convey it to the foreign tourists who live there. The one who used to have a house there was the owner of the chicken," he said.

"The plan is for Tuesday we will mediate. They are neighbors so it can be resolved amicably. If later (mediation) gets a dead end, then the homestay has to make a silencer there. It's the guests who complain," said Alit.
