Brigadier AG, Member of the North Toraja Police Who Has Been Backing Drug Dealers Since Last Year

JAKARTA - A member of the North Toraja Police, Brigadier AG, is said to be the defender of the drug trafficking case. In fact, from the results of inspections protecting dealers, he has been doing this since last year.

"Yes, protecting (drug dealers since, ed) mid-2022", said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Commissioner Komang Suartana when confirmed, Thursday, February 23.

However, it has not been clearly conveyed how Brigadier AG supports drug trafficking. It is suspected that he leaked information when action was taken by the Drug Investigation Unit.

The process of examining Brigadier AG is still being carried out intensively. The goal is to get other information about drug trafficking and the possibility of other police being involved.

"It's still being investigated, the members have been detained", said Komang.

Previously, the Director of Drug Crime at the Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Krisno H. Siregar, said that Brigadier AG was a member of the North Toraja Police. He served as an assistant investigator.

"A member of the assistant investigator, if his rank is assistant investigator, his initials are AG", said Krisno.

Meanwhile, Brigadier AG's involvement in supporting drug trafficking was revealed based on the confession of one of the suspects.

At that time, the Tana Toraja Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) held a press conference on Wednesday, February 15. There are four suspects featured in the activity.

Then, one suspect was allowed to speak. It was then that he said he dared to distribute drugs because he was protected by the local police.

However, the police did not know who the suspect was referring to. "We dare to do this because we are protected from below, the police", he said.
