JAKARTA - The public prosecutor is preparing steps to execute the South Jakarta District Court's decision against Bharada Richard Eliezer who was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison.
"Preparations are being made for execution in the near future," said Head of South Jakarta District Attorney Syarief Sulaiman Nahdi quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 22.
Syarief said the preparations made by his institution included administrative completeness regarding the place of detention and the judge's decision as a complete document in executing the court's decision.
"We are preparing the administration, including the judge's decision," he said.
Apart from that, Syarief said, his party also coordinated with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) for the execution process of Bharada Eliezer considering his status as a justice collaborator (JC).
"Also coordination with the LPSK because Eliezer was determined by the judge as JC," he said.
The South Jakarta District Court has handed down a sentence of one year and six months to Richard Eliezer at the trial decision which was read out on Wednesday, 14 February 2023.
