BANDUNG - Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana asked the state civil apparatus (ASN) within the Bandung City Government, West Java, not to get involved in practical politics ahead of the political year in 2024. If any ASN is involved in practical politics they will receive sanctions.
According to him, practical politics that ASN has the potential to do include showing partiality to one of the candidates or pairs of candidates participating in the general election (election).
"I remind all ASN not to get involved in practical politics," said Yana in Bandung City, Antara, Friday, February 17.
For this reason, he asked officials to rely on the applicable laws and regulations so that officials and ASN would not be entangled
in practical political problems.
"Any violation will certainly lead to legal consequences," he said.
To avoid these things, Yana asked ASN to continue to innovate to develop potential in the tasks they carry out.
"Must be able to develop creativity and innovation in the field of mandated tasks," said Yana.
