Sentenced to Severe, Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi and Kuat Ma'ruf File an Appeal

JAKARTA - The four defendants in the premeditated murder case against Yosua alias Brigadier J have officially filed an appeal against the verdict handed down by the panel of judges. They are Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, Kuat Ma'ruf and Ricky Rizal.

"The defendants in the premeditated murder of Yosua, namely FS, PC, KM, and RR, have expressed an appeal against the decision read out by the panel of judges", said the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto, on Thursday, February 16.

Defendant Kuat Ma'ruf officially filed an appeal on Wednesday, February 15. Meanwhile, the other three defendants filed appeals today.

"The defendants' FS, PC and RR were filed on February 16", said Djuyamto.

For information, the panel of judges decided that the four defendants were legally and convincingly guilty in the premeditated murder case against Brigadier J. However, the sanctions given were different.

In particular, the defendant Ferdy Sambo was sentenced to death. Meanwhile, Putri Candrawathi was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Then, the defendant Kuat Ma'ruf was sentenced to 15 years in prison and Ricky Rizal was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
