SEMARANG - The Food Task Force (Satgas) of the Central Java Regional Police checked MinyaKita's cooking oil supplies at the Bulog warehouse and a number of traditional markets in Semarang City, Wednesday, February 15.

Deputy Chairperson of the Central Java Regional Police Food Task Force AKBP Rosyid Hartanto led direct joint inspections with the Industry and Trade Service and the Central Java Regional Logistics Agency.

At the Bulog Warehouse in Tambak Aji, Semarang City, the Central Java Police Food Task Force found that MinyaKita supplies around 20 tons in one-liter packs. According to him, the presence of MinyaKita in the market in Central Java is still available.

"However, people's consumption of premium cooking oil has switched to MinyaKita, which makes this commodity difficult to obtain," he said as quoted by Antara.

He said that the large demand was not proportional to the existing supply.

He added that supplies of bulk cooking oil in Central Java currently reach 7 thousand tons, while for packaged cooking oil it is around 2,224 tons.

Cooking oil supplies in Central Java, he said, were still able to meet people's consumption which reached 566 tonnes per day.

On that occasion, Rosyid warned of strict sanctions against the misappropriation of this cheap cooking oil commodity.
