Judge Reveals Kuat Ma'ruf's Role, Accompanying Brigadier J And Muting The Gunshots

JAKARTA - The panel of judges revealed the role of the accused Kuat Ma'ruf in the case of the alleged premeditated murder of Yosua alias Brigadier J. The driver from Ferdy Sambo was in charge of conditioning the execution site or official residence number 46, the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

Kuat Ma'ruf's role started when he went to the official residence for isolation. In fact, when he arrived in Jakarta from Magelang, he did not undergo the COVID-19 PCR test.

"Joining the isolation in Duren Tiga even though he did not take part in the PCR," said Judge Morgan Simanjuntak in court at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, February 14.

Upon arrival at the official residence, Kuat played a role in conditioning the location of the execution. Doors and windows on the first floor to the balcony are closed.

The aim was to prevent the sound of gunshots during the execution from leaving the house and prevent the Brigadier from escaping.

"Arriving in Duren Tiga without being commanded when I received information from Kodir that Duren Tiga's house was clean, closed the front of the house so that noise or gunshots were not heard. Even though the task of closing the door was Kodir's witness," he said

"Closed access to the exit in front, so that the victim Joshua was isolated and could not escape, went up to the floor and closed the balcony door while the sun was still bright," continued Judge Morgan.

Then, Kuat also took Brigadier J from outside the official residence to the living room. Where, at that point, Brigadier J was executed by Richard Eliezer or Bharada E and Ferdy Sambo.

"Reflecting the defendant's attitude is none other than that the defendant had willed and knew at the same time that there was intentional intent to kill the victim," said Judge Morgan.

Meanwhile, Kuat Ma'ruf was found guilty in the premeditated murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J. Thus, the panel of judges sentenced Ferdy Sambo's household assistant (ART) to 15 years in prison.

In his verdict, the actions or actions of Kuat Ma'ruf in the series of premeditated murder cases are believed to have violated Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 to (1) of the Criminal Code.

"Sentenced the defendant with a prison term of 15 years," said Chief Judge Wahyu Iman Santoso.
