Ganjar Pranowo Steals Participants' Attention At NU's One Century Event

SIDOARJO - Thousands of Nahdliyin residents who gathered outside the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo stadium, East Java, were surprised by the presence of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, Tuesday 7 February. Those who could not enter the location of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Centennial peak reception immediately rushed over to Ganjar when they saw the white-haired governor walking towards the location.

Ganjar chose to walk because the access to the location was severely congested. The car Ganjar was traveling in couldn't go because a sea of ​​people had piled up on the street outside the stadium. When Ganjar walked away, thousands of Nahdliyin immediately rushed closer. They shook hands and asked for a photo together.

"Mr. Ganjar, take a photo, sir. I'm from Lamongan. I'm from Madura, sir," they shouted.

Some Nahdliyin residents even jumped the road divider. They broke through to approach Ganjar. Their faces looked cheerful after shaking hands and taking photos with Ganjar.

"Ganjar the president! This is our leader. Long live Mr. Ganjar," shouted the congregation.

Greets the Participants

The enthusiastic crowd made it difficult for Ganjar to walk. Even so, Ganjar Pranowo remained friendly to serve residents who asked to shake hands and take photos together. Occasionally, he stopped when he met the congregation of the elderly or children.

"Be patient, don't push. Always be healthy," said Ganjar.

Chanting of shalawat also accompanies Ganjar's steps toward the event location. Banser and Pagar Nusa ranks also helped secure Ganjar from the crowd to open the way.

Ganjar Pranowo attended the peak event of the Century Nahdlatul Ulama at Gelora Deltras Sidoarjo which was also attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. Apart from that, a number of important officials and major scholars from all over Indonesia were also present at the location.

The Nahdlatul Ulama Century Event was held all night since Tuesday, 7 February at 00.00 WIB. A number of activities were carried out, including Lailatul Qiroah, Manaqib Syech Abdul Qodir Jailani, Qiyamul Lail, Qubro Diploma, selawatan and others.
