3 Synthetic Cannabis Producers And 10 Users Arrested At Soetta Airport

TANGERANG - The police arrested 13 perpetrators who were suspected of buying packages of synthetic marijuana weighing 4,937 kilograms. The 13 people have the initials EJ, RAR, PFN, DH, MGR, IM, KAMS, LAP, DS, MSP, RF, YSR and MIG.

Of the dozens of perpetrators arrested, three of them were producers of synthetic cannabis, with the initials EJ, RAR, PFN.

Deputy Chief of Police for Soetta Airport AKBP Anton Firmanto said the suspects mixed chemicals with laboratory equipment and natural tobacco ingredients. Then it is wrapped in packages and sold at IDR 100,000 per gram.

"The delivery method used by the perpetrators by sending illicit goods is according to the coordinates of the recipient's location. Meanwhile, for the second, the perpetrators sent packages of synthetic cannabis according to orders via expedition," Anton told reporters at the Soekarno Harta Airport Police, Thursday, February 2.

Head of the Narcotics Unit of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, AKP Verdika explained that the arrest started with the suspicions of officers in the field of six packages suspected of containing drugs at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Cargo Terminal. When checking, apparently found these illicit goods.

On that basis, the police carried out developments, as a result, the suspects were secured in different places, such as Tangerang, Karawang, Bandung, and Purwakarta.

"So according to the suspect who promoted and sold him, he has been practicing this home industry for one year, and his sales are all over Indonesia," said Verdika.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 114 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of life imprisonment or a minimum imprisonment of five years.
