WONOGIRI - The "Governor's Teaching" program carried out by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo is back running after more than two years of being stopped due to the pandemic. The activity started from SMKN 2 Wonogiri, Thursday (26/1/2023). The enthusiasm of students at SMKN 2 Wonogiri makes Ganjar proud, especially in preventing bullying and radicalism at school.
"This is the Governor's Teaching activity again, we revive it because the pandemic has started to diminish and the enthusiasm of friends is also very high. This is at SMKN 2 Wonogiri, we encourage SMK students to better prepare themselves for the future," said Ganjar after giving material at SMKN 2 Wonogiri.
Dialogue
While teaching, Ganjar Pranowo mostly engages students in dialogue. He wanted to provide an overview of how teaching and learning activities in schools should have a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It turned out that SMKN 2 Wonogiri had already implemented it. This can be seen from the responses of a student named Sizou and a teacher named Setyowati during a dialogue with Ganjar.
"What I miss at this school is because I can meet friends, and the teacher likes to joke, like Mrs. Setyowati," said Sizou, a sophomore student at SMKN 2 Wonogiri, to Ganjar.
Setyowati who was asked to come forward then explained how the teaching and learning process she practiced. According to her, the fluid method is used so that students feel happy and comfortable while studying and students are not tense or stressed.
The next opportunity, Ganjar had a dialogue with five students from SMKN 2 Wonogiri, namely Sila, Laksita, Vivi, Putra, and Ismail. Of the five children, Ganjar received questions about preventing and avoiding bullying and radicalism at school.
It was the response from the students that made Ganjar very enthusiastic about teaching because it showed a good learning process at school.
"The question was very interesting because they talked about, sir, how to prevent radicalism, how to prevent us from being infected, how do we protect ourselves. Then how do they enjoy going to school while at the same time respecting students and teachers or students and students. I think this is a good question that arises. I'm sure this is part of the learning process that will make their character better," said Ganjar Pranowo.
Free school
In addition, Ganjar explained, SMKN 2 Wonogiri is one of the extension schools of the free schools in Central Java. The free school is provided so that children from underprivileged families get access to a good education so they can improve the socio-economic conditions of the family.
"Of course, we are preparing them because the school is bundling. So there are schools with special pathways but there are also those who can't afford them. This is an extension of the Central Java school which is free. So we are integrating it now even though it's not a boarding school. We hope that later there will be lots of friends or family here who cannot afford access to education.
