The Government Has Clearly And Firmly Announced The Second Booster Vaccine Starting Today, This DPR F-NasDem Member Still Asks for Its Realization Immediately

JAKARTA - DPR Commission IX member Nurhadi welcomed the government's announcement through the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) inviting the general public to come to the nearest health facility (faskes) to get a free second booster vaccine. The second booster vaccine starts today.

Nurhadi hopes that the government will immediately realize the fourth or second booster vaccine. He also asked the public to immediately register to get a booster vaccine to avoid transmission of COVID-19.

"Thank God, what the community is waiting for should be realized soon. Let's take advantage of the facilities provided by the government by participating in the success of the second booster vaccine," said Nurhadi, Tuesday, January 24.

The NasDem legislator for the East Java electoral district, said that the presence of the second booster which was given free of charge could make the Indonesian people avoid the threat of the coronavirus again. As you know, the virus is currently spreading again in China.

"It's another matter if the pandemic has been declared over by the government and designated as endemic," said Nurhadi.

Because of this, Nurhadi appealed for the COVID-19 vaccine for any age group to be given free of charge, as has been happening so far because the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended.

"That way our joint efforts so that Indonesia's herd immunity against COVID-19 can be realized soon," he concluded.

It is known, the general public can already get the second COVID-19 Booster vaccination. This was done as an effort to accelerate vaccination while increasing the protection of the Indonesian people from COVID-19.

"In the next one to two weeks, people over 18 years of age will get the second booster vaccine without waiting for a ticket/invitation. Registration is still being done manually while waiting for care and protection to be prepared," said Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Syahril in Jakarta, Saturday, January 20.

This rule is contained in Circular Letter Number HK.02.02/C/380/2023 Concerning the 2nd Booster Dose of COVID-19 Vaccination for the General Public, which was stipulated by the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control on 20 January 2023.
