Former OVO Employee, A Suspect Of Child Abuse, Will Be Forcibly Picked Up By The South Jakarta Police

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Police promised to forcefully pick up Raden Indrajana Sofiandi (RIS) as a suspect in the abuse case of his biological children KR and KA at the Signature Park Apartment, Tebet, after the perpetrator reasoned that he could not attend due to his poor health condition.

"RIS was summoned again Thursday, January 19 at 10.00 WIB. If he doesn't come, we will force him to pick him up," said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Section Head AKP Nurma Dewi, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, January 17.

According to Nurma, this forced pickup plan was decided because this summons was the third time addressed to RIS.

Given the reason RIS could not come due to illness, Nurma emphasized that the police would ensure that the suspect's name was registered at the hospital as a patient.

"Yes, it's true that there was a coincidence yesterday, the statement was from the hospital," she added.

Nurma added that this third summons was a form of deepening for investigators by providing a number of questions related to the reported case.

Previously, the suspect RIS said he could not attend because he was undergoing a medical examination at a hospital.

"I happened to have an examination yesterday at the PI hospital, indeed the condition is dropping, isn't it? Same today I have to go back to the hospital," said RIS when contacted, Tuesday.

RIS said he was still waiting for the results of laboratory tests, and his presence at the police station would refer to laboratory results issued by the hospital.

Previously, the South Jakarta Police named Raden Indrajana Sofiandi (RIS), who abused his two biological children KR and KA at the Signature Park Apartment, Tebet, as a suspect on Friday, January 6.

The articles suspected of RIS being violence against children and domestic violence (KDRT) as well as unpleasant acts with violence, namely Article 76C Jo 80 Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection Jo 44 Law Number 23 of 2004 and Article 335 of the Criminal Code concerning Elimination of Domestic Violence.
