SEMARANG - The British Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste Owen Jenkins will visit Semarang and Solo to deepen bilateral relations in various fields, starting from the development of sustainable transportation, education, English, and health.
British Embassy Spokesperson Faye Belnis said Owen's scheduled visit was to meet with the Regional Secretary of Semarang City Iswar Aminuddin, Deputy Governor of Central Java Taj Yasin Maimoen, and Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
In Semarang, Owen will meet Semarang City Secretary Iswar Aminuddin, Tuesday (17/1) to discuss cooperation in fields, including the development of the mass transportation sector by taking a pilot in the Old Town area of Semarang.
Cooperation in the field of public transportation, he continued, was not about infrastructure development, but more about how to ensure that public transportation that was available was accessible to everyone, and was friendly to women and disabilities.
