The leadership and members of the Central Kalimantan DPRD together with the local regional head agreed with a budget of IDR 180 billion from the 2023 and 2024 APBDs to elect the Governor/Deputy Governor of 2024.

The approval was passed after the draft regional regulation (Raperda) on the 2024 Pilgub Reserve Fund was ratified as a regional regulation in a plenary meeting, chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Central Kalimantan DPRD Abdul Razak and attended by Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo in Palangka Raya, Tuesday, December 27, quoted from Antara.

"The budget of Rp180 billion for the gubernatorial election is provided in the 2023 APBD of Rp80 billion and the 2024 APBD of Rp100 billion," said the spokesman for the special committee for the Raperda on the Reserve Fund for the Central Kalimantan DPRD gubernatorial election Mujahirin in his report during a plenary meeting.

The creation of this Pilgub fund reserve, he continued, is based on a law order and at the same time considering the amount of the budget, so that it will dispatch regional finances if only budgeted in the one-year APBD.

Mujahirin said the amount of the Rp180 billion gubernatorial election budget and reserves in the 2023 and 2024 APBDs, had also received the approval of the seven factions of parties supporting the Central Kalimantan DPRD which were presented in a recent plenary meeting.

"We from the special committee would like to thank all members of the council, teams from the provincial government and others, so that the Raperda for the 2024 Pilgub reserve fund can be ratified as a regional regulation," said Muhajirin.

Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo ensured that a budget of IDR 80 billion for the 2024 Pilgub reserve fund had been provided in the 2023 APBD. However, the budget requires a legal umbrella in the form of a regional regulation, so as not to have problems in the future.

"So, the ratification of the Raperda regarding the 2024 gubernatorial election reserve fund into a regional regulation, makes the provision of Rp80 billion in the 2023 APBD have a legal umbrella," said Edy.

He thanked the Central Kalimantan DPRD Special Committee for working hard to resolve the Raperda on the 2024 Pilgub reserve fund, so that today it was approved and ratified as a regional regulation.
