JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polrestro) stated that there were 13 static electronic ticketing cameras or "Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement" (ETLE) installed in its area.

Head of the Central Jakarta Polrestro Traffic Unit Police Commissioner (Kompol) Purwanta said the installation of ETLE was to take action against traffic violators since the ban on manual ticketing.

"In Central Jakarta itself, there is still a lot of need for ETLE at several points, currently there are 13 static ETLEs installed," said Kompol Purwanta, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 3.

Purwanta continued that the Central Jakarta Police are ready to apply electronic ticketing with the currently available 13 static ETLEs.

"We are ready to carry out ticketing using a static by ETLE system," he continued.

Meanwhile, as many as 13 ETLEs are currently installed at a number of points in Central Jakarta.

"A total of 13 Static ETLEs are on Kyai Caringin Street, Gunung Sahari Street, Keramat Raya Street, Merdeka Barat Street, Majapahit Street, Salemba Raya Street," he added.

For information, the Metro Jaya Police has officially stopped the implementation of manual ticketing for traffic violators. All motorists who violate will be punished electronically.
