SERANG - A lifeless man was found in front of the Ciruas Police Station, Serang Police, Wednesday afternoon, November 2. According to a local police officer, the man with the initials AE (43) is a resident of Kejaban Village, Ciruas District, Serang Regency, Banten. It was first discovered by an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol).

The head of the Ciruas Sector Police, Kompol Hasan Khan, said that the witness, an online motorcycle taxi driver, saw the victim lying in front of the Ciruas Police in a supine position on the sidewalk.

"We received a report from the ojol that was in front of the office that someone had died in front of the Ciruas Police Station at around 16.00. We immediately followed up on the report and processed the crime scene with the Serang Police Inafis team," Hasan said in a written statement.

According to residents, the victim was lying on the sidewalk when the witness tried to wake him up. Upon closer inspection, the victim was already dead.

"Based on the results of the crime scene and the identification of the Serang Police, a medical card was found at the Ciruas Health Center in the name of the victim and two hundred and forty-five thousand rupiah in cash from the victim," Hasan added.

Furthermore, his party contacted the victim's family and the victim's uncle confirmed that the victim was his nephew.

"It's true that my nephew, the person concerned is indeed sick," said the victim's uncle when confirmed.

The police chief said that the victim's family accepted it as a tragedy or fate, so they refused to do an autopsy.

"The victim has been handed over to the family for burial," he said.
