SEMARANG - The body of Novita Kurnia Putri, an Indonesian citizen (WNI) who was the victim of a gunshot wound in San Antonio, Texas, United States, was buried at the Sasonoloyo Bumi Rejo TPU, Semarang City, Central Java, Sunday, October 30.

Novita's body arrived at the funeral home on Pudak Asri II Street, Banyumanik, Semarang City, on Sunday morning, after traveling from Jakarta.

Novita's husband, Robert Brazil, accompanied the coffin's journey from Jakarta to the family's house in Semarang.

The arrival of Novita's body was greeted by the sobs of family and relatives who were already waiting at the funeral home.

Novita's father, Ade Sutisna, admitted that he was resigned to the return of his daughter's body.

"The family is resigned, the important thing is that it arrived," said Antara, Sunday.

Novita's body will be buried in a TPU not far from the family's house.

On that occasion, Ade expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for helping with the repatriation of Novita's body.

Previously, Novita Kurnia Putri was reported to have died instantly on Tuesday, October 4, after her house was shot with hundreds of bullets by two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, respectively.

Efforts to repatriate Novita's body will take quite a long time considering the completeness of several documents that must be met.
