COVID-19 Update As of October 25: The Virus Still Exists, The Evidence Appears New Cases 1,230

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 69,498 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 3,008 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,475,672 people and active cases have increased by 1,230 to 19,915 cases", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Tuesday, October 25.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,757 people, bringing the total to 6,297,282 recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 21 cases and the total was 158,475 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 889 cases and a total of 1,441,706 cases. Followed by East Java which has 461 new cases with a total of 610,778 cases. West Java has 437 new cases and a total of 1,186,865 cases. Banten has 250 new cases and a total of 341,055 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 490 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 267 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 239 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 227 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 110,135,379.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 7.41 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 4,772 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 205,103,842 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,812,842 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 64,838,191 and the fourth dose was 660,985. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
