JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have handed over files belonging to the suspect with the initials IW who stumbled upon a case of alleged fraud in the sale of MotoGP tickets in March 2022 at the Mandalika Circuit and then to the research prosecutor.

"Yes, the file belonging to suspect IW has been transferred to the prosecutor for investigation", said Commissioner Artanto, Friday, October 14, as reported by Antara.
With this delegation, investigators are now waiting for the results of the prosecutor's investigation. If there are additional instructions, Artanto ensures that investigators will follow up on the matter by completing the file.
"If on the contrary, the file is declared complete, of course, the investigators will follow up by delegating the suspect and evidence to the public prosecutor", he said again.
The suspect IW is the head of the Central Lombok Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD). In his status as a suspect, IW is subject to Article 378 of the Criminal Code on Fraud.
From the results of the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect IW had fraudulently sold MotoGP tickets to a victim with a loss of at least IDR 66 million.
