BANDAR LAMPUNG - The Bandar Lampung District Attorney deposited IDR 1.195 billion in the state treasury from the proceeds of the money laundering crime (TPPU) in the narcotics case involving the convict Jefry Susandi.

"This is part of the execution of the narcotics case, the TPPU decision which has permanent legal force. We will deposit it into the state treasury through Bank Mandiri Cut Mutia, Bandar Lampung", said Head of District Attorney of Bandar Lampung, Helmi, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 22.

In addition, he said, his party will carry out executions in the form of 63 lands located in Pesawaran, Pandeglang, and others, including public vehicles, Kijang Innova, and precious metal jewelry.

"The evidence was confiscated for the state. We will evaluate the land for vehicles and jewelry and submit it to the KPKNL for auction. If today is in the form of cash, we will immediately deposit it into the state treasury", he said.

The convict Jefry Susandi stumbled upon a case of possession of 7,259 kilograms of methamphetamine, which was arrested by the BNNP Lampung on August 12, 2019.

Jefri's arrest began with the arrest of two couriers from Aceh named Zawil Qiram and Silman and the recipient of Jefri's methamphetamine, a Bandarlampung resident named Ade.

From Jefri's hands, officers confiscated evidence in the form of cars, jewelry, savings books, and cellphones, up to land certificates worth IDR 1.9 billion, which is the proceeds of money laundering offenses from selling methamphetamine.

The evidence in the case was 13 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and Jefry was sentenced to 17 years in prison during a trial at the Tanjungkarang District Court, Monday, January 20, 2020. When he was detained in a prison, Jefry again acted by controlling the circulation of crystal methamphetamine weighing 41.6 kilograms.
