Add 5, Total 13 Terrorists Arrested in Dumai Riau

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror have again arrested five terrorist suspects in the Dumai area, Riau. A total of 13 terrorists have been arrested.

"The National Police's anti-terror Detachment 88 is carrying out law enforcement efforts, arresting 13 perpetrators of terrorism crimes in Riau Province", said Police Public Relations Spokesperson, Kombes Ade Yaya Suryana, to reporters, Friday, September 16.

The five terrorist suspects had the initials WI, S, A, ES, and AF. They were arrested at different times and places.

Specifically for WI, it was suspended on Thursday, September 15th. The other four suspects were arrested the following day.

"The four people in 2013 attended a meeting in the field of parrots in the Ghofur da'wah tour", he said.

Based on the results of the interim examination, the suspect is AF who has a big role in the terrorist network. Because he has a foundation affiliated with Jamaah Islamiyah (JI).

"AF is the owner of a foundation affiliated with the Islamic congregation and in early 2017. AF accommodated school teachers and students with cases", said Ade.

Previously reported, Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested eight terrorist suspects in the Dumai area, Riau. They are part of the Anshor Daulah (AD) network.

The terrorist suspects had the initials RP, JW alias AJ, II, M, Z, MNS, ITZ, and MA. They were arrested on Wednesday, September 14th.
