JAKARTA - The Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, has scheduled an examination of lawyer Alvin Lim in the alleged defamation case with whistleblower Henry Surya. He will be questioned in two weeks.

"Alvin Lim sent a letter of delay to provide information on Monday, September 26, 2022," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Nurul Azizah in her statement, Monday, September 12.

The scheduling is the result of a reset. Because, at first Alvin Lim was scheduled to provide information today or Monday, September 12.

Then, in handling the case, investigators also examined several experts, such as linguists, ITE experts, and criminal experts. The goal is to find criminal elements in the report.

"The investigation activities that have been carried out carry out requests for information against 3 expert witnesses," said Nurul.

The series of examinations, including Alvin Lim, is a follow-up to the report made by Henry Surya. The report in question is numbered LP/B/0250/V/2022/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI dated May 30, 2022.

In that report, Alvin Lim is suspected of violating Article 45 paragraph (3) Jo. Article 27 paragraph (3) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.

Then, Article 310 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, Article 311 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of 4 (four) years.

Henry Surya as the reporter is the boss of the Indosurya Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP) who is currently still undergoing detention in a fraudulent investment case.
