Psychological Recovery Of Victims Of Abuse By Religious Teachers In Batang, Central Java Police Collaborate with KPAI Chair Kak Seto

SEMARANG – Central Java Regional Police provide trauma healing to victims of sexual abuse by unscrupulous teachers in Batang and Pekalongan Regencies.

Dirreskrimsus Polda Central Java Kombes Djuhandani accompanied by Karo HR Kombes Pol Yohannes Ragil and Kabiddokkes Kombes Pol Sumy Hastry said that his party summoned the Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Kak Seto to relieve the trauma.

“Children are the hope of the nation. Therefore, in addition to law enforcement against the perpetrators, we also provide various efforts by cooperating with the KPAI to restore the condition of the children of this nation's hope to be better, "explained Dirreskrimsus Polda Central Java Kombes Djuhandani, in a written statement, Wednesday 7 September.

"In addition to restoring the victim's condition, it is hoped that (trauma healing) can also provide a sense of security for the victims and their parents so that children can continue learning activities well for their future," he added.

The perpetrators of obscenity, he said, would be charged with different articles according to the case.

Meanwhile, Seto Mulyadi expressed his appreciation to the Central Java Police for not only arresting the perpetrators of sexual abuse, but also giving more attention to the children who are victims.

“Brothers from the Batang Polres and the Central Java Police appear as friends for children. Present to provide psychological treatment for students at school, not only victims of sexual harassment. The goal is to make the children confident again,” said Kak Seto.

He also said that psychological recovery efforts yielded positive results, the children returned to being cheerful and able to laugh.

"Alhamdulillah, the results are quite positive and once again we appreciate the psychologists from the Central Java Police," he concluded.
