Social Minister Risma Guarantees Social Assistance Is Right On Target With DTKS Update

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini guarantees that the social assistance (bansos) rolled out by the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) is right on target by updating the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and the social assistance check application to check membership.

“DTKS is getting more credible and accountable. If there are people who do not accept because they are blocked by the RT, they can enter the social security check," said Social Minister Risma as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 6.

The Minister of Social Affairs advised the public to immediately open the application and then enter the objection proposal in the Social Security Check. The public can also check through the Command Center – 021171 so that it can be followed up.

If the prospective beneficiary is declared entitled to receive social assistance, the Ministry of Social Affairs will process the assistance, and every month her party regularly meets with law enforcement officers (APH) such as the Attorney General's Office, KPK, BPKP, Bareskrim Polri to check.

If the data is correct, the Ministry of Social Affairs will check the homes of the prospective beneficiaries and will propose the data to the local government.

“We always update the data every month. In accordance with the Law on Handling the Poor, verification and validation of data is carried out by the regions, then there is an equivalent in the Dukcapil, then the Regional Government proposes to us for further determination. So, I make a ministerial decision regarding updating this data every month after receiving proposals from the regions," said Social Minister Risma.

Risma explained that in addition to the social assistance delivered by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), the Ministry of Social Affairs will also provide additional social assistance (top up), or so-called cushioning, in line with the increase in the price of basic needs.

This assistance is called direct cash assistance (BLT) for the transfer of fuel subsidies (BBM), as additional funds rolled out by the Ministry of Social Affairs in addition to the routine assistance received by the beneficiaries.

Distribution of BLT worth IDR 150,000/month/KPM for 4 months, which will be disbursed in two stages, which will be added to both the beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).

To this day, IDR 1,793,135.400.000 (IDR 1.79 trillion) has been transferred to PT Pos Indonesia, and to PT Pos Indonesia so far, BLT BBM payments have been made in 445 districts/cities.

Tomorrow, the plan is to make BLT BBM payments in 514 regencies/cities. The Ministry of Social Affairs also continues to coordinate with PT Pos for distribution to areas that are difficult to reach by land travel.

Social Minister Risma said that the assistance provided by the government was quite large. That is, it is hoped that it will be able to accommodate the increase in price increases that have been happening in the community.

However, if there is a beneficiary who is eligible, but he/she does not have an ID card or other card for that access, the Ministry of Social Affairs will work with the Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs to get them to have population data so that they can access the assistance provided by the government.
