Ministry Of Health: The Use Of PeduliLindungi Is Required In The G20 Presidency

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) said the use of the PeduliLindungi Application was tightened in the G20 Indonesia Presidency because many foreign delegates came with groups.

"At the G20 Summit, the implementation of special policies is imposed on delegates of the G20 Summit who receive a special invitation from the Government of Indonesia, in this case, in particular, the Head of States and accompanying entourage," said the Chief of Digital Transformation Office of the Ministry of Health, Setiaji, as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 31.

He said PeduliLindungi is currently one of the main requirements for Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN) to be able to enter Indonesia from every entrance opened by the government.

As for its use, it applies to Indonesian citizens (WNI) or foreign citizens (WNA). The terms of use also apply to participants of the G20 Presidency who are classified as non-VVIP.

He explained that upon arrival in Indonesia, the delegates were immediately asked to scan the PeduliLindungi QR code as an effort to ensure that the person concerned had been fully vaccinated.

In that case, the Ministry of Health and related parties have added a number of new language options for users, so that using the application will be much easier. The languages ​​that are currently being added are German, Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish.

However, if the G20 delegation or group has not verified through the application or it is stated that the vaccination status has not been recorded, then the evidence in the form of physical documents brought will be assisted and directed by airport officials to enter the data.

"PeduliLindungi's QR code scans are also placed in all hotels, venues, and other public areas," Setiaji said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono explained the policy of adding the language, to ensure that guests of the G20 Presidency get health services of the maximum standard.

In addition to the addition of foreign language features, the Ministry of Health has also prepared three things, namely standard health protocols, preparation of health services, and access to delegate communication on health protocols and health services.

Regarding health protocol standards, he said, delegates were required to have complete doses of vaccinations and registered at PeduliLindungi before departure.

"Delegates are expected to have health insurance or travel insurance that guarantees hospital care, including COVID-19," said Dante.
