Proud Of Medan Children Bringing U-16 National Team To AFF Champion, Bobby Nasution Departs Crespo And Parents To Hajj

MEDAN - Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution conveyed pride and congratulations on the success of Femas Aprian Crespo who helped bring the Indonesian U-16 National Team (Timnas) to win the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup.

Bobby Nasution hopes that the success achieved will further spur the spirit of the player, who is a native of Medan.

This was conveyed by Bobby Nasution when he received Crespo's arrival at Medan City Hall, Tuesday, August 23. In addition to keeping in touch, the arrival of the player who was born on January 15, 2006, with his parents was also to convey to Bobby Nasution that they were happy because the children of Medan could take part and make the country proud, especially the city of Medan.

“Wow, this is amazing, young age with proud achievements. Hopefully, it will motivate other young people to excel. We believe that the support and prayers of parents will lead to the success of Crespo," said Bobby Nasution, quoted from a written statement by Public Relations of the Medan City Government.

To the husband of the Chairman of the Medan City PKK TP Kahiyang Ayu, Crespo's parents told the story of their son's journey to finally being able to join the U-16 national team. Moreover, Crespo is the only player from North Sumatra, to be exact in Medan.

After listening, Bobby Nasution then asked the wishes and hopes of Crespo and his family. Ayu Fitriansih, Crespo's mother and Supri's father, admitted that they wanted to be able to go for Hajj.

Although, explained Ayu, Crespo had intended to send his parents to go on Umrah according to his ability.

"Yes, sir, mother, and Crespo, I registered and left for Hajj. This is my proud expression because surely the prayers and enthusiasm will never be broken from parents as parents so that they can bring Crespo to reach his dream, “said Bobby Nasution.

On behalf of himself and his parents, Crespo also thanked Bobby Nasution.

"Thank God, thank you, sir. What I got and achieved today is all because of my parents' prayers,” said Crespo, and his parents were seen crying because they had the opportunity to perform Hajj from Bobby Nasution.

At that moment, Crespo also expressed his hope that the football field, which is right next to the Medan Helvetia Sub-district office on Jalan Beringin X, could be improved.

“I was born in Medan, sir, Medan Helvetia. So, the small ones used to play with the ball on the field. I hope it gets better, sir. So, friends, you can play ball there," Crespo hoped. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

In line with that, Bobby Nasution also admitted that currently, the Medan City Government is also building sports facilities in each sub-district.

“Yes, we are still fixing sports facilities in the area, including the Exemplary Stadium and Flower Gardens. Later, if there is an opportunity, Crespo will also be present so that we can both inaugurate the field in Helvetia. Hopefully, Crespo's presence can be an encouragement," he concluded.
