COVID-19 Update As Of August 13: Total 5,104 New Cases, 2,287 Cases In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 96,732 specimens examined, there were 5,104 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 6,278,332 people and active cases rose by 30 to 53,606 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, August 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5,055 people, bringing the total to 6,067,518 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 19 cases and totaled 157,208 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 2,287 cases and a total of 1,360,600 cases. Followed by West Java which has 1,129 new cases with a total of 1,149,957 cases. Banten has 557 new cases and a total of 320,563 cases. East Java has 385 new cases and a total of 590,934 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 2,531 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 663 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 713 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 413 recovered cases.

Meanwhile, specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens have reached 105,126,271.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 10 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 6,972 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 202,949,315 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,485,151 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was followed by 58,537,731 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
