ATLAS Beach Fest Care Releases Thousands Of Hatchlings On Bali's Berawa Beach

BADUNG - Atlas Beach Fest in collaboration with the Turtle Conservation and Education Center (TCEC) released thousands of hatchlings or young turtles at Berawa Beach, Badung Regency, Bali.

The natural release of the hatchlings to the hatchlings to the open waters is carried out by involving all tourists and the public who are present in the coastal tourist area.

"So far, we have released more than 16,000 hatchlings at Berawa Beach. This activity routinely takes place every Wednesday and Saturday from July 27, 2022 until it ends on October 1, 2022," said Atlas Beach Fest Care Public Relations Officer Tony Dimas, Monday, August 8.

He said, previously, Atlas Beach Fest won the MURI record award for releasing the most hatchlings in Indonesia, which reached 15.000 consistently and measurably.

According to him, this is a form of our responsibility for the environment around the business location. In addition to offshore hatchlings, his party is also consistent in conducting regular beach cleaning involving many people.

"We believe that the balance of the environment will also have a big impact on the community. We also regularly work with villages and banjars and target residents who need basic material assistance. So we are consistent in community social responsibility and the environment," he said.

Tony Dimas added, in addition to involving the community, Atlas Beach Fest also has a routine agenda of cleaning the swampy beaches around Atlas Beach Fest.

"Cleaning up garbage is done every day in the Berawa Beach area. We also invite employees once a month together to clean the beach to make Bali clean and comfortable for tourism purposes," he said.

Meanwhile, TCEC Leader Edy Semara explained that the collaboration with Atlas Beach Fest is a form of collaboration to provide education to the community and tourists around the importance of maintaining and preserving hatchlings.

"We hope that the release of these hatchlings will help cultivate and help the marine ecosystem," he said.

Atlas Beach Fest is a tourist destination located on Berawa Beach with an area of 29.000 square meters and is the largest beach club in Asia.

Atlas Beach Fest collaborates with 15 local restaurants, 36 tenants who sell local snacks and drinks. In addition, Atlas Beach Fest also provides facilities for MSMEs in Bali by providing free bazaar locations for one month to 34 selected local MSMEs which are targeted to be implemented in October.
