JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police has denied the rumors circulating about two police officers involved in a shootout in the Central Jakarta area, on Wednesday, August 3.
Initially, information was widely heard about two members injured from gunshot wounds.
"It's not a shooting of a fellow member of the Police", said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner E. Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, August 4.
However, Zulpan did not specify the actual cause of the police officer's injury. The reason is that they are still gathering information.
So far, from the information obtained, the incident was caused by the negligence of one of the members.
"But those who fired the weapons were indeed members of the Metro Jaya Police", said Zulpan.
