JAKARTA - Two suspected perpetrators of sexual violence against underage girls at Kaliadem Pier, Muara Angke Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, with the initials SS (30) and JP (22) are threatened with imprisonment for 15 years.

"Both of them are charged with Article 76 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection with a threat of 15 years in prison," said Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Putu Kholis Aryana at the Tanjung Priok Harbor Police Headquarters, North Jakarta, Wednesday, July 20.

Kholis explained that the alleged molestation took place on Sunday, July 17 and the victim's mother with the initials S was reported to the Sunda Kelapa Police, and officers followed up and the suspect was arrested Monday, July 18.

Officers confiscated a number of evidence, such as two buoys with bloodstains, the victim's clothes, and the suspect at the time of the incident.

Kholis said the examination was carried out by taking into account the psychological condition of the victim, so that he was more careful in finding and exploring the modes or offers given by the suspects to persuade the poor girl.

Kholis said the suspects' modus operandi was to invite the victim to get acquainted while walking alone to the Kaliadem Pier.

The victim was invited to chat while being led onto a ship manned by the SS.

"So, the scene of this case was on a ship that was docked around the Kaliadem Pier," said Kholis.

After that, the victim went home and reported the incident to S.

Head of the Tanjung Priok Port Police Criminal Investigation Unit Adjunct Commissioner of Police Sang Ngurah Wiratama said the two perpetrators are now in detention at the Tanjung Priok Police Headquarters to undergo further legal proceedings.
