The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was at the coordinates of 6.06 South Latitude-104.22 East Longitude.
"82 km southwest of Tanggamus-Lampung", the BMKG wrote on its Twitter account, @bmkgregion2, Tuesday, July 12.
This earthquake had a depth of 12 km. Thus, this earthquake is classified as a shallow earthquake and the potential damage is none.
Based on the official BMKG website, this earthquake was felt as far as Padang Cermin and Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province.
