COVID-19 Update As Of July 6th: 2,743 New Cases, Recovered Adds 2,045 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 79,375 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 2,743 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,100,671 people and active cases have increased by 694 to 18,048 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, July 6.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,045 people, bringing the total to 5,925,853 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 4 cases and totaled 156,770 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 1,516 cases and a total of 1,276,288 cases. Followed by West Java which has 537 new cases with a total of 1,114,595 cases. Banten has 281 new cases and a total of 298,540 cases. East Java has 151 new cases and a total of 578,797 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 849 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 736 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 232 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 133 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 101,250,215.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.35 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 5,712 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 201,643,697 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 169,232,174 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 51,315,655. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
