MECCA - A total of 67 Indonesian Hajj candidates are undergoing inpatient treatment at the Indonesian Hajj Health Office (KKHI) in the Mecca Work Area (Daker).

"They have heart problems and we are treating them here", said Head of the Health Section of the KKHI Daker Mecca Muhammad Imran in Mecca as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 29.

So far, KKHI Mecca has treated 731 hajj candidates with 531 outpatients and 200 inpatients.

Of the number of members of the congregation who were hospitalized, the most suffered from heart disease.

"So our congregation here who after doing physical activity experience heart problems and also have a previous heart history. Some have risk factors for diabetes and hypertension", said Imran.

In addition, there were 16 hajj candidates who were referred to Saudi Arabian Hospitals but six of them underwent treatment, namely for fractures, strokes, and cancer.

The pilgrims who have undergone hospitalization are those at high risk who have been successfully screened by the KHHI.

"They are screened first in the group, then those who are screened need to be consulted with our specialists and immediately take them to KKHI for a consul", said Imran.

If it is judged by a specialist that they can return to the group then they will be outpatient, but if they have serious health problems they will be hospitalized at KKHI until their condition is stable.
