Portrait Of President Jokowi When Arriving At Kyiv Central Station Escorted By A Fully Armed Paspampres

JAKARTA - President Jokowi has just made history. When his foot stepped on Platform 1 of Kyiv Central Station, Jokowi officially became the first Asian leader who dared to come to Ukraine in the midst of the Russian invasion.

After traveling for approximately 11 hours, the Extraordinary Train (KLB) carrying Jokowi, Iriana and a limited delegation finally arrived at Kyiv Central Station, at 08.50 local time, Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

After the train car doors opened, Jokowi and Iriana got off the train and were greeted by Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Senik, Head of the Ukrainian-Indonesian Intergovernmental Relations Commission Taras Kachka, and officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Kyiv.

Here, Jokowi will take a close look at the debris of the Lipky Apartment complex in Irpin City. Jokowi will also visit the Center for Endocrine Science and Surgery, Endocrine Organ and Tissue Transplantation in Kyiv City. In the afternoon, President Jokowi will go to the Maryinsky Palace to have a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. In the afternoon, President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana and their limited entourage will return to Kyiv Central Station and then head to Przemysl Station in Poland using KLB.

Paspampres has prepared headgear, bulletproof vests, and carries long-barreled weapons, to protect President Jokowi in Ukraine.

"Luckily, Ukraine has given Paspampres the freedom to prepare weapons," said Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo. The Ukrainian side also does not limit the amount of ammunition or ammunition that can be carried.

Head protection and bulletproof vests will be worn by President Jokowi and his delegation while in Kiev.

Meanwhile, the number of long-barreled weapons carried was adjusted to the number of Paspampres personnel who accompanied the President to the location, which consisted of 10 rescue team personnel, 19 main group personnel, and 10 advance team personnel who had arrived first.
