More Than Half Of The Indonesian Hajj Clones Have Arrived In Saudi Arabia

MECCA - More than half of the pilgrims from Indonesia have arrived in Saudi Arabia, some entering through the city of Medina and partly entering through the city of Jeddah.

According to data from the Indonesian Hajj Affairs Office in the City of Mecca, as of Friday, June 24, the night Indonesian Hajj candidates who had arrived in Saudi Arabia were 63,134 people, or about 63 percent of the total 100,051 Indonesians scheduled to depart for the Holy Land during the 2022 hajj pilgrimage.

Of the 63,134 Indonesian Hajj candidates who have arrived in Saudi Arabia, 53,512 people are already in the city of Mecca with details of 34,713 people coming to Mecca from Medina and 18,799 people coming to Mecca from Jeddah.

Indonesian pilgrims in the first batch of departures were flown from the country to the city of Medina and in the second wave of departure, they were flown to the city of Jeddah.

Pilgrims who came in the first batch stayed for about nine days in the city of Medina before heading to Mecca, while the pilgrims who came in the second wave from Jeddah took the bus directly to Mecca.

According to the 2022 Hajj Travel Plan, the group of pilgrims who arrived at the end of the first batch departed from Medina to Mecca on June 27, 2022.

The last group of prospective Indonesian pilgrims is scheduled to depart from the country to the city of Jeddah on July 3, 2022.

On July 7, 2022, all Indonesian pilgrims will depart from Mecca to Arafah to perform wukuf on July 8, 2022, or 9 Dzulhijjah 1443 Hijrah.
