MAMUJU - Acting Governor of West Sulawesi, Akmal Malik, inspected several evacuation points for residents after the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Mamuju Regency.

The Acting Governor appreciated the Mamuju Regency Government and Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompinda) in that area for moving earlier to help establish emergency posts.

He conveyed, based on an agreement with the Mamuju Regency Government that the emergency post located on lane two of the Mamuju-Kalukku Axis road, would be coordinated directly by the West Sulawesi Regional Police.

Meanwhile, the refugee post at Manakarra Stadium, he continued, will be coordinated by the West Sulawesi Provincial Government.

The Governor hopes that all parties will help and work together, ensuring that the community gets services in the midst of difficulties caused by the earthquake.

"Don't let our citizens not get good service because of the current conditions we need togetherness, because togetherness will make us strong", said Akmal Malik.

The Acting Governor said that he would hold a coordination meeting with all Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompinda) to prepare for the fulfillment of the needs of residents at the refugee camps.
