SURABAYA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) had initiated six pillars of transformation in the health sector.

Therefore, Khofifah asked every hospital in East Java to immediately apply digital-based services that can be easily accessed by the public.

"Now from the Ministry of Health, there are already six pillars of health transformation that we can break down, because digitalization has to be adapted by all of us. Therefore, I want to remind that all policy processes in the regions must be connected to the national," said Khofifah, when opening the seminar The 16th Hospital of the All-Indonesian Hospital Association (Persi) for the East Java Region and Hospital Expo XVI at Grand City Convex Surabaya, Wednesday, June 8th.

Khofifah said that one way to implement the first pillar, namely the transformation of primary services, is to digitize medical records. To achieve this can start from getting used to the little things.

Meanwhile, regarding the medical records, continued Khofifah, it is very important for all patients during treatment. If the medical record has been digitized, it will be easier for patients to undergo treatment anytime and anywhere.

"When I review hospitals, I usually ask for hospital beds to no longer have hangers used for health records. Starting to have to be entered directly digitally. It's simple but not easy to implement because not all hospitals are backed up by comprehensive technical medical records," she said.

The next pillar is the transformation of referral services and health resilience systems, and after that is the transformation of human resources in the health environment. This foundation, said Khofifah, can be done by promoting health education through digital platforms. In addition, it is also necessary to strengthen the medical campaign and movement.

"In addition, we need to strengthen cadres. Now Persi as frontliners must have more detailed assistance. Because, how connectivity between us is very important to realize this transformation in the health sector," she said.

Meanwhile, the transformation pillar of the health financing system and health technology is closely related to the previous pillar. If the medical records are comprehensive, she said, it will make it easier for medical finance, including BPJS reimbursement.

"So this digitalized medical record will eventually have an impact on reimbursement records to BPJS and so on. In addition, we also have to increase coordination between guarantee providers, both from JKN or private health insurance," she said.
