COVID-19 Update May 30: Add 218 Cases, DKI Jakarta Becomes The Most Contributing Area

JAKARTA - The number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia increased by 218 on Monday, May 30. DKI Jakarta became the province that contributed the most cases to the national daily as many as 81 cases.

Based on data from the Ministry of Health, West Java and Banten ranked second and third with 34 cases each added.

Followed by East Java in the fourth position with the addition of 22 cases. While Bali is in the fifth position with the addition of 16 cases.

The Ministry of Health also said that 28 provinces recorded additional COVID-19 cases under 10 cases this Monday. In addition, 20 provinces have not experienced additional COVID-19 cases.

Then the number of patients who have successfully recovered from COVID-19 transmission in the country currently reaches 287 patients with the highest number of recovered patients being contributed by DKI Jakarta with 99 recovered patients.

Far adrift, West Java is in second place with 36 recovered patients and East Java is in the third position with 22 recovered patients.

Then, Central Java and Gorontalo were in fourth and fifth place by recording 19 and 16 recovered patients, respectively.

While the number of patients who died due to COVID-19 in the country today, there were 12 patients, with West Java recording the highest number of patients dying, namely 4 patients. Then followed by DKI Jakarta with 3 patients who died.

Nationally, the number of active cases fell by 81 cases to 2,871 active cases.

The number of specimens examined on Monday was 69,993 specimens with a "positivity rate" of 0.71 percent.
