JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also escorted Former Manpower Minister Fahmi Idris to his final resting place at Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta, Sunday, May 22. In Anies' eyes, the deceased was a legendary warrior who was responsive to the problems that plagued the country.

"Age is increasing but the spirit never fades. I found an example in fighting from Fahmi Idris. And he is also a person who is always responsive. Whatever the problem, he always cares," he said at the Tanah Kusir TPU.

Anies explained that Fahmi Idris did not stop being an activist until the end of his life. According to Anies, Fahmi is always caring and active. Therefore, Anies admitted that he really lost the figure of Fahmi Idris.

"We feel lost, God willing, khusnul khatimah, God willing, his degree will be elevated, God willing, and all the charity, God willing, it will be a charity without breaking up for the deceased," he said.

The former Minister of Education and Culture also prayed for the bereaved family to be given strength and fortitude. He believes that Fahira Idris can continue the struggle of Fahmi Idris.

"Mrs. Fahira, as one of the children who actively continues the struggle of her father, God willing, can continue to carry the big name, the good name of the late Fahmi Idris," he said.

Previously, the sad news of the death of Fahmi Idris was conveyed by his daughter, Fahira Idris through his social media account.

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Mr. Prof. H. Fahmi Idris bin Idris is angry with Bagindo," said Fahira in the Instagram social media account @fahiraidris, quoted on Sunday, May 22.

Fahmi Idris' body arrived at around 12.40 WIB at the Funeral Home, Mampang Prapatan IV Number 20, South Jakarta. Then he was buried in Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta.
