Stated As "Not To Land", Mass Supporting Ustaz Abdul Somad Hold Demonstration In Front Of The Singapore Embassy

JAKARTA - Masses of supporters of Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) who are members of the Sarekat Islam Ideological Defense group (Shield) will hold a demonstration in front of the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta today.

This demonstration was the result of the rejection of UAS when he was about to enter Singapore for a vacation.

"A notification letter has been given to Ditintelkam Polda Metro," said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan when confirmed, Friday, May 20.

Based on the notification letter, the number of demonstrators involved was around 50 people. Thus, the security scheme will be adjusted.

However, Zulpan did not specify the number of personnel deployed in the security scheme. He only said that the Directorate for Security of Vital Objects (Ditpamobvit) had implemented tight security at all embassies in Jakarta.

"We also see from the submissions that those who will express their opinions also convey an estimated mass of 50, we also see from the notification that we adjust it," said Zulpan.

For information, the masses from Perisa will hold a demonstration in front of the Singapore Embassy, today at around 13.00 western Indonesia time.

This demonstration was the result of the rejection of UAS when it was about to enter Singapore. In fact, the speaker was only intending a vacation.

During the demonstration, the masses demanded the expulsion of the Singaporean Ambassador from Indonesia. This is done if there is no apology to the Indonesian people within 2x24 hours.
