JAKARTA - The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the African continent reached 11,555,033 as of May 15, 2022, according to the African Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC Africa).

In terms of caseload, South Africa is the region most affected by the pandemic, followed by the north and east. Central Africa is the region least affected by the pandemic.
