JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorates of the National Police has officially ended the implementation of the one-way and odd-even traffic engineering scheme on the Kalikangkung Toll Road KM 414 to Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek). The reason is, based on monitoring, backflow on toll roads has been monitored normally.

"We will finish closing the odd-even application that we have implemented," said Police Headquarters Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi in his statement, Monday, May 9.

The one-way and odd-even schemes during the 2022 Eid return flow, were originally to be implemented on May 5.

In fact, the scheme, which initially only extended to the Japek KM 48 toll road section, was extended to KM 28. The goal is to reduce the density of vehicles.

The decision to end this scheme was after officers combed the toll road from Jakarta to KM 70. In which, the traffic flow conditions were declared normal or smooth.

"That at 00.30 western Indonesia time this morning, we made sure with the group that we were combing the road from Jakarta to KM 70," said Firman.

Adding that the Traffic Director of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the implementation of the one-way and contraflow scheme from KM 28 to KM 3+500 had ended at 03.40 western Indonesia time.

"It is reported that currently all traffic engineering, both one way, and contraflow, has been terminated and traffic is running normally from Jakarta to Cikampek and Cikampek to Jakarta," said Sambodo.

For information, the Traffic Police Corps had implemented a one-way, odd-even, and contraflow scheme on toll roads during the homecoming and return flow of Lebaran 2022.

The entire traffic engineering scheme aims to break down the density of vehicles, both on toll roads and arterial roads.
